This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Vistrella collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It applies to vistrella.com and to any purchase you make through it.

Information we collect

When you place an order: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if provided), order details and payment confirmation. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.

When you browse our site: your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, pages viewed, how you arrived at our site, and how you interact with it. This is collected automatically through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.

When you contact us: your email address and anything you include in your message.

When you sign up for emails or texts: your email address or phone number and your marketing preferences.

How we use your information

  • To process, ship and deliver your order, and to send order and shipping updates
  • To handle returns, refunds and customer service requests
  • To detect and prevent fraud and keep our site secure
  • To understand how our site is used and improve it
  • To show you relevant advertising on other websites and social media
  • To send marketing emails or texts, only if you have signed up
  • To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with companies that help us run our store, and only what they need:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders and payments
  • Payment processors, which handle transactions and fraud screening
  • Fulfillment partners and carriers, which receive your name, address and order details to pack and deliver your order. Some of our fulfillment partners are located outside the United States.
  • Email, SMS and customer service providers, which help us communicate with you
  • Analytics and advertising partners, such as social media and search platforms, which help us measure our site and show you relevant ads

We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Targeted advertising and your opt-out right

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, sharing information collected through cookies and pixels with advertising partners for targeted advertising may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under some US state privacy laws, including California's. You can opt out at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as an opt-out request.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the site to work (such as keeping items in your cart), analytics cookies that show us how the site is used, and marketing cookies that measure and personalize advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies may stop checkout from working.

How long we keep your information

We keep order records for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes, generally up to 7 years. Customer service messages are kept for up to 2 years. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. Other information is deleted once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it
  • Get a copy of your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your personal information, unless we are legally required to keep it
  • Opt out of targeted advertising and the "sale" or "sharing" of your information
  • Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights

California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA. To make a request, email info@vistrella.com. We respond within 45 days and may ask you to verify your identity first. You may also use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any marketing text message.

Security

Our site uses encrypted connections, payments are processed by PCI-compliant providers, and access to customer data is limited to people who need it. No system is completely secure, but if a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

Children

Our store is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
